Ealing CAMHS is a friendly, busy, borough-located service, and operates as part of a wider three-borough CAMHS service, including Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham, within West London Mental Health Trust. The teams have excellent relationships with the local mainstream and specialist schools and links within Social Care.
The Adolescent Community Team is part of a Tier 3 CAMHS service, which also includes a child and family team and a neurodevelopmental team with links to a comprehensive Tier 2 service. The wider team includes professionals from multiple disciplines. The post holder will be part of a growing speciality team. Clinical Psychology, Nursing and Family Therapy are well represented throughout the teams. The service prides itself in thinking and implementing creative and innovative ways of delivering care; for example, Ealing CAMHS was selected to be a trailblazer site for the new mental health support in schools and colleges, and there are opportunities to be involved in quality improvement projects. We are passionate about supporting our specialists in training and regularly have trainees on placement with us. The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist systemic psychotherapy in the adolescent team and to contribute to the multi-disciplinary team undertaking initial assessments, risk management and crisis interventions.
